Winnebago Industries, Inc (Winnebago) is recalling certain 2015 BUS28WC and BUS28SH transit buses. Based on the seating capacity of the vehicle as equipped, if fully loaded, the vehicles may exceed the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) and/or the gross axle weight rating (GAWR) limitations indicated on the certification label. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."

RiskOverloading of the transit bus may result in a loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash.

FixWinnebago will notify owners, and dealers will reduce the seating capacity of the bus, free of charge. The recall began on September 13, 2017. Owners may contact Winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-3535.
