26V076000·PARKING BRAKE2026-02-10

Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2024-2027 VNL (4) vehicles that do not include auxiliary parking brakes. If the vehicle is in weight bias mode there may not be enough weight on the parking brake axle, which could result in inadequate parking brake force.

RiskInadequate parking brake force can result in a rollaway, increasing the risk of a crash.

FixDealers will replace the brake chambers, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk are expected to be mailed March 23, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated June 3, 2026. Owners may contact Volvo Trucks' customer service at 800-528-6586. 25V804000·EXTERIOR LIGHTING:LIGHTING CONTROL MODULE:SOFTWARE2025-11-20

Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2026 VNR (4) and 2024-2026 VNL (4) vehicles. The automatic high beams (AHB) may not switch to low beam headlights as intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Risk High beam headlights that do not switch to low beam as intended can reduce visibility for oncoming traffic, increasing the risk of a crash.

FixAs an interim action, Volvo Trucks will update the vehicle software through an over-the-air (OTA) update to disable the AHB feature, free of charge. The final remedy is under development. Interim owner notification letters were mailed January 7, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated June 1, 2026. Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2024-2026 VNL (4) vehicles. The load lock clamps, located on the back of the cab, may loosen and cause the load lock bars to become unsecured.

RiskA loose or unsecured load lock bar can result in a loss of cargo, creating a road hazard and increasing the risk of a crash.

Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2023-2026 New VN trucks. The hazard switch back lighting may become inoperative. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, "Controls and Displays."

RiskA hazard switch that is not illuminated may be difficult to locate when needed, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2023-2025 New VN trucks. The brakes may take longer than expected to activate. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 121, "Air Brake Systems."

RiskDelayed brake activation can extend the distance required to stop, increasing the risk of a crash.
