Winnebago Industries, Inc. (Winnebago) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 Winnebago Sightseer and Itasca Sunova motorhomes with a D35G floorplan, manufactured March 19, 2015, to July 15, 2015. In the affected vehicles, the wiring harness behind the panel board may be pinched or damaged when the left rear slideout room is retracted due to insufficient clearance.
RiskA damaged or pinched wiring harness increases the risk of a fire.
FixWinnebago will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the wiring harness for damage, repairing it as necessary. Additionally, the harness attachment point will be relocated to provide the harness extra clearance. These repairs will be performed free of charge. The recall began on November 5, 2015.
