2023 Ford Transit

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Transit vehicles. The engine crossmember may not be secured properly, which can cause the engine to shift and possibly result in a loss of drive power or brake failure.

RiskA loss of drive power or brake failure increases the risk of a crash.

Fix Dealers will replace the cross member fasteners, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed February 13, 2026. Rollx Vans (Rollx) is recalling certain GMC Yukon, Sierra, Chevrolet Express 2500, Ford Transit, E-250, Toyota Sienna, Sienna Hybrid, Honda Odyssey, Chrysler Town and Country, Voyager, Pacifica, Dodge Grand Caravan, and Ram Promaster vehicles equipped with QRT-Deluxe and QRT-Max wheelchair restraints. Please refer to Rollx's recall report for specific model year information. The retractors may not lock, preventing the wheelchair from being properly secured.

RiskAn unsecured wheelchair can move during transit, increasing the risk of injury.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Transit vehicles repaired incorrectly under recall numbers 24V226 and 24V591. An incorrect steering coupler cover and tires that were not designed for the vehicle may have been installed during a previous repair.

RiskIncorrect tires and an incorrect steering coupler cover can cause a loss of brake function, loss of steering control, or damage to tires, increasing the risk of a crash.

FixDealers will inspect and if necessary, replace the tires, tire placard, and certification label, and also recalibrate the vehicle. Additionally, dealers will remove the steering coupler cover. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2018-2022 Transit Connect, 2019-2020 MKZ, MKX, Edge, Continental, F-150, Nautilus, Fusion, 2019-2023 Ranger, Mustang, 2020-2021 EcoSport, Expedition, Navigator, 2020-2022 Escape, F-250 SD, Corsair, 2020-2023 Aviator, Transit, 2020-2024 Explorer, 2021-2024 Bronco Sport, and 2022-2024 Maverick vehicles. A software error may cause the rearview camera to display a blank image, or the image may remain on the display after the backing event has ended.

RiskA rearview camera that displays a blank image can reduce the driver's view behind the vehicle. A rearview image that continues to be displayed after the vehicle is shifted out of reverse may distract the driver. Both of these situations can increase the risk of a crash.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Transit vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall number 22V415. The Instrument Panel Cluster may not properly illuminate warning lights or gauges. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 101, "Control and Displays."

RiskAn instrument panel that does not illuminate critical safety information, such as the speedometer or warning lights, can increase the risk of a crash.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Bronco, F-150, 2021-2024 Edge, 2022-2025 Escape, F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, F-600, 2022-2024 Expedition, 2022-2025 Transit, 2021-2023 Mach-E, 2024 Ranger, Mustang, 2021-2023 Lincoln Nautilus, 2022-2024 Navigator, and 2023-2024 Corsair vehicles. A software error may cause the rearview camera image to delay, freeze, or not display when the vehicle is in reverse.

FixThe accessory protocol interface module (APIM) software will be updated by a dealer or through an over-the-air update, free of charge. This will be a phased campaign, with the remedy becoming available in different phases based on model and model years. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed on June 26, 2025. Additional letters will be mailed once the final remedy is available on each phase. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Transit vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall number 23V-598. The rearview camera, or 360-degree view camera if equipped, may not display a rearview image when the vehicle is placed in reverse.

RiskLoss of the rearview camera image can reduce the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
