Charmac Trailers Inc. (Charmac) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 Horse and Cargo trailers manufactured March 16, 2015, to September 25, 2015, and equipped with certain 3500lb-capacity torsion model axles. The weld that secures the torsion arm assembly may fail allowing the tire, wheel, hub, and torsion arm to separate from the trailer.
RiskA separation of the torsion arm can result in a loss of trailer stability and control, increasing the risk of a crash.
FixCharmac will notify owners, and dealers will replace the suspect axles, free of charge. The recall began on January 28, 2016. Owners may contact Charmac customer service at 1-208-733-5241.
