What was wrong

Defect

SOME TWO-PIECE WHEEL CAP NUTS HAVE A FAULTY WASHER SECTION THAT CANNOT BE DETECTED BY THE NAKED EYE. THIS DEFECT MAY LEAD TO CRACKING OF THE WASHER SECTION WHICH CAN CAUSE NUT TO LOOSEN. EVENTUALLY, THE NUTS COULD FALL OFF AND THE WHEEL WOULD BECOME DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE.

Manufacturer remedy

OLD CAP NUTS WILL BE REPLACED WITH NEW NUTS (IDENTIFIED BY A DIMPLE). REPLACEMENT WILL BE DONE ONE CAP NUT AT A TIME, WITHOUT JACKING THE VEHICLE. THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR REPLACEMENT.
