What was wrong

Defect

Blue Bird Bus Company (Blue Bird) is recalling certain 2026 All American transit buses. The retention nuts between the wiper blades and the mounting arms may have been improperly tightened.

Risk

Loose fasteners may cause the windshield wipers to become inoperative, reducing visibility and increasing the risk of a crash.

Manufacturer remedy

Dealers will inspect and tighten the fasteners as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 15. 2026. Owners may contact Blue Bird customer service at 1-478-822-2242.
